Cold drawn low-carbon steel wire is mainly used for small prestressed concrete components, such as beams, hollow floor slabs, small electrical poles, as well as purlins, door frames, window frames, etc. in rural buildings. Cold drawn low-carbon steel wire is suitable for use as structural steel bars, and when used as longitudinal load-bearing steel bars in structural components, steel wire welded mesh should be used. Cold drawn low-carbon steel wire shall not be used as prestressed steel bars.
